The program is split into two major phases:

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must:

• Reside and work in a Global South country (Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean).
• Be early in their career as a journalist, storyteller, or content creator.

• Be fluent in spoken and written English.
• Be fully committed to all stages of the program.
• Be available to travel to Abu Dhabi in November 2025 for Phase Two.

Selection Process

The program involves a two-phase selection:

1. Phase One – Application & Virtual Training
   Applicants submit a brief form detailing their background, eligibility, and motivation. Selected candidates undergo online training, complete assignments, and earn badges.
2. Phase Two – Story Pitch & Selection for Abu Dhabi
   Participants must submit a compelling story pitch focused on a pressing issue in the Global South. Those who perform best during the online phase and demonstrate strong storytelling potential will be invited to Abu Dhabi for advanced training and final story production.

Applicants should prepare to submit:

• Completed application form (Phase One)
• Portfolio or samples of previous work (for Phase Two)
• Proof of origin from a Global South country
• A compelling story pitch highlighting a global health issue relevant to the Global South
