Applications are now open for the vice chancellor’s excellence scholarships at Newcastle University. Newcastle University in the UK offers a fabulous opportunity for international students to pursue their undergraduate education with financial assistance. The university has announced the Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships for deserving candidates who wish to pursue full-time undergraduate study. 

Thirteen scholarships are available for students who meet the eligibility criteria and demonstrate outstanding academic achievements. The scholarship covers a significant portion of the tuition fees, and the recipients are also awarded a monetary grant for their living expenses, making it easier for them to focus on their studies without worrying about the financial burden.

Eligibility Criteria for the Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships

50% Scholarships

Applicants for up to 50% of the scholarships must:

  • be domiciled in one of the following countries: India, Kenya, Malaysia, South Africa, Tanzania, Turkey, Ukraine, or the USA.
  • be assessed as international for fee purposes:
  • hold an offer for an eligible full-time undergraduate degree program at the university’s Newcastle City Center campus for the 2024–25 academic year.
  • already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent.

We will assess eligible candidates according to their academic ability to showcase their intellectual prowess. This can be achieved by submitting transcripts of your previous academic records and test scores, such as the SAT, ACT, or GRE. In addition, demonstrating a commitment to studies through participation in extracurricular activities, volunteering, or relevant work experience can provide a holistic view of your academic and personal interests, showcasing you as a well-rounded individual.

The quality of your application is also of paramount importance. A well-written application that is tailored to the specific program you’re applying to and highlights your unique qualities and accomplishments can increase your chances of being accepted. 100% Scholarships

Applicants for the 100% scholarship must:

  • be domiciled in one of the following countries: India, Ukraine, or the USA.
  • be assessed as international for fee purposes.
  • hold an offer for an eligible full-time undergraduate degree program at the university’s Newcastle City Center campus for the 2024–25 academic year.
  • already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent.

How To Apply for the Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships

The following are important dates to remember:

  • March 14, 2024, is the deadline for candidates in the United States.
  • April 25, 2024, is the deadline for candidates in India, Kenya, Malaysia, South Africa, Tanzania, Turkey, and Ukraine.

Note that you must apply for this scholarship online separately from your course. and must already have an offer to study at the university to apply.
