As an active citizen of the world, young people have the power to catalyze positive social change and guide society along a path of sustainable progress.

Many Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) grants focus on empowering young people of all interests and backgrounds and amplifying their voices. The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Fellowship invites young people to apply for a ten-month internship in Athens twice per year, from April to July and from October to September.

Review Process

The review process is carried out in three stages. The first stage involves the evaluation of applicants’ CVs and application responses to establish so as to shortlist qualified candidates.

The second stage involves virtual interviews with these candidates, conducted by small panels of SNF staff based on which position the applicant is interested in. The third stage involves selecting participants for the program.

Applications are evaluated on criteria including interest shown by the applicant, the relevance of their application to the position and the potential fit shown with the culture of the organization, as well as the impact the internship could have for their professional and personal life.

The interest we see in working in the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors never ceases to inspire us, and we firmly believe that anyone interested should have the opportunity to be considered for an experience in these fields.
