Applications are now open for the MRS Oil Nigeria Plc Scholarship Scheme 2023 for Nigerian students. MRS Oil Nigeria Plc. is committed to promoting academic excellence among its employees and shareholders. The scholarships are designed to assist the recipients in achieving the highest levels of educational excellence, and are awarded based on academic merit and financial need. This is awarded to Senior Secondary School 1–3 students who attend government-owned or accredited private secondary schools in Nigeria and undergraduates who have been offered admission into government-owned or accredited private tertiary Nigerian institutions, e.g., universities, polytechnics, or monotechnics, for the course duration.

Eligibility Criteria

Secondary School Applicants

  1. The scholarship will be awarded to students who have completed the Junior Secondary Certificate
    Examination (JSCE), and have a minimum of five (5) distinctions, i.e. A, which is equivalent to an excellent grading system in the relevant subjects (including Mathematics and English Language) in one sitting
  2. The applicant must have the JSCE results available during the application period
  3. The applicant should not be more than 18 years old at the time of application
  4. The applicant must be a Nigerian
  5. The applicant must be the child of a confirmed employee or individual shareholder of MRS Oil Nigeria Plc during the application period
  6. The applicant must not be a beneficiary of another scholarship

Undergraduate Applicants

  1. The award will be given to students who have completed the Senior Secondary Certificate
    Examination (SSCE) or its equivalent (NECO or GCE). The applicant must have a minimum of five
    distinctions, i.e. A, which is equivalent to an excellent grading system in the five subjects relevant to the course of study in the higher institution of choice (including Mathematics and English Language) at one sitting
  2. The applicant must have been offered admission into an approved tertiary institution
    (University/Polytechnic/Monotechnic) in Nigeria
  3. Applicants should not be more than 25 years old at the time of applying
  4. The applicant must be a Nigerian
  5. The applicant must be the child of a confirmed MRS Oil Nigeria Plc employee.
  6. The applicant must not be a beneficiary of another scholarship

Note that the deadline for applications is December 31, 2023. Interested applicants are expected to download the forms below, and all completed application forms and attached documents (see links below) not larger than 5 MB should be sent to monscholarship@mrsholdings.com. Applications sent after the deadline will not be considered.
