The eligibility criteria for the International Climate Protection Fellowship are divided into two categories: Prospective Leaders and Postdoctoral Researchers.

General Eligibility Requirements:

Eligibility for Prospective Leaders:

Hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) obtained within the last 12 years.

Have a minimum of 24 months of professional experience in a climate-related field, or possess a master’s degree with at least 12 months of relevant work experience.

Eligibility for Postdoctoral Researchers:

Must have completed a doctoral degree no more than four years before the application deadline or by 31 August 2025.

Have a proven track record of publications in internationally recognized academic journals relevant to climate protection.
