  • Hold a PhD or be in the final stages of completion (including viva) before the fellowship start date.
  • Have no more than seven years of active full-time postdoctoral experience (excluding career breaks and including teaching or industry experience).
  • Be working outside the UK and not hold UK citizenship.
  • Be proficient in oral and written English.
  • Propose a clear and mutually beneficial research project with a UK host researcher.

Duration and Benefits of the 2024 Fellowships

  • The fellowship spans two years.
  • Awarded at 80% Full Economic Cost (FEC).
  • Research expenses of up to £12,000 and relocation costs of up to £8,000 can be requested.
  • Applicants need to justify the requested expenses and relocation costs in their application.

Application Process

Interested candidates can apply before the deadline. Confirmation of the PhD award is required before the fellowship is confirmed.
