About the Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders Program
The 2025 Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders (ADEL) Program might be the perfect opportunity for you if you are between 25 and 35 years old and making a difference in your community, field, or region. Do you want to connect with influential decision-makers, deepen your leadership skills, and expand your global impact?.
Now open for applications, this prestigious and fully funded leadership experience will take place in Rabat, Morocco this December. You’ll join over 40 dynamic young professionals from across the Atlantic Basin for an unforgettable week of leadership development, policy dialogue, and global networking.
The Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders Program (ADEL) is the flagship youth leadership initiative of the Policy Center for the New South (PCNS). It’s designed to empower promising young professionals from Africa, the Americas, Europe, and the Caribbean — known collectively as the Atlantic Basin — by providing them with tools, platforms, and networks to elevate their work and drive lasting change.
Now in its 12th edition, the ADEL Program is more than a weeklong event. It’s a launchpad for young leaders, an entry into a powerful global community, and a chance to influence policy dialogues on key transatlantic issues.
This year’s program includes:
- A 5-day leadership training boot camp in Rabat from December 7–11, 2025
- Full participation in the renowned Atlantic Dialogues Conference, from December 11–13, 2025
Eligibility Criteria
The ADEL program is open to young professionals from diverse sectors, including public service, civil society, academia, entrepreneurship, innovation, and international development. While applicants from all fields are welcome, they must meet the core eligibility criteria below.
To apply, you must:
- Be between 25–35 years old as of May 7, 2025
- Be a citizen or legal resident of a country in the Atlantic Basin (i.e., Africa, Europe, the Caribbean, North, Central, or South America)
- Be fluent in English (the working language of the program)
- Be available to participate in the entire program from December 7–13, 2025
- Demonstrate strong leadership potential and professional achievements
- Show a proven track record of social, economic, or community impact
- Have a passion for cross-cultural collaboration, global dialogue, and long-term engagement
Selection Criteria
Applicants will be assessed based on:
- Professional achievement and leadership growth
- Demonstrated impact in their field or community
- Interest in transatlantic policy issues and global cooperation
- A clear vision for how they plan to leverage this opportunity
- Communication skills and readiness to engage with diverse peers
The selection process is highly competitive. A dedicated panel will evaluate applications holistically, and only the most promising candidates will be invited to join the 2025 cohort.
Eligible Countries
Applicants must reside in or hold citizenship from one of the Atlantic Basin regions, which include:
- Africa
- North America
- Central America
- South America
- Europe
- The Caribbean
Note: Applicants from countries outside the Atlantic Basin are not eligible.

- Why are you applying to ADEL, and how will you contribute to the program?
- Answer these three questions:
Applications missing any of these components will not be considered.
