2024 Fellowship Program for Young African Women Leaders by MILEAD (Moremi Initiative Leadership Empowerment and Development)

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2024 MILEAD (Moremi Initiative Leadership Empowerment and Development) Fellows Program.

This program is a forward-thinking initiative dedicated to the ongoing development of promising young leaders chosen as Fellows. Participants in the program will receive a blend of training, hands-on learning, and mentorship aimed at enhancing their knowledge and skills, building networks, and fostering a supportive environment for women’s leadership on critical issues. Additionally, the program connects determined young women with influential African leaders who are committed to inspiring and empowering the next generation. Importantly, Fellows will receive ongoing support and solidarity through the MILEAD Network.

A notable aspect of our program is the intentional inclusion of community service throughout the yearlong training. Each Fellow will spearhead a community change project, known as MiCHANGE, addressing a crucial issue in their community or affecting African women as a whole.

The MILEAD Program provides Fellows with top-notch knowledge, skills, values, and support systems essential for success as 21st-century women leaders. The program will be awarded to 25 exceptional young women who have demonstrated leadership potential in their community, organization, or profession.

MILEAD is seeking vibrant young women aged 19-25 who are interested in refining their transformative leadership abilities to address challenges facing women and girls in African communities.
