Introduction to the Lithuania State Scholarships 2024-25 in Europe

Applications are open for the Lithuania State Scholarships 2024-2025. The Lithuania State Scholarship is a fantastic way to receive free education throughout Europe. The Lithuanian government provides financial aid to foreign students for short-term studies, such as one to two semesters at Lithuanian universities, under the Lithuania State Scholarship program. The entire cost of living and tuition will be covered by the Lithuania State Scholarship in Europe. The Lithuanian State Scholarship 2024 is intended to give foreign students who want to study for a higher degree in Lithuania financial assistance.

International students from all over the world are eligible to apply for these scholarships. This international scholarship program is open to students in a variety of academic fields. The monthly scholarship amount varies based on the program of choice and study level, from 550 to 1100 euros. There are two categories of Lithuania State Scholarships available in Europe: Lithuanian Short-Term Studies Scholarships and Short-Term Studies Scholarships.

The Short-Term Studies scholarship covers one or two academic semesters. There are a maximum of 35 scholarships available for short-term studies. European Scholarships are available to students who are citizens of some of the qualifying nations (listed below) for short-term studies in Lithuania. Scholarships for Short-Term Lithuanian Studies include studies in Lithuania for one to two semesters, with at least 50% of the subjects being related to Lithuanian studies.

There are fifteen Lithuanian Short-Term Studies scholarships available to international students, and thirty scholarships are available to Lithuanian science centre researchers, lecturers, and students. To qualify for short-term Lithuanian studies scholarships, students must select and plan their coursework so that at least 50% of their degree subjects—which can include Lithuanian history, ethnology, literature, linguistics, philology, and folklore—are related to Lithuanian studies.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must receive official approval of acceptance from their chosen Lithuanian higher education institution.

  • They must be a student of a higher education institution abroad.
  • Applicants must have good knowledge of Lithuanian, English, or any other language that is required to study in their chosen study program (the minimum B2 level of study language).
  • Applicants must meet all the requirements of the scholarship to which they are applying.

Foreigners of Lithuanian origin (from all foreign countries).
