2024/2025 Fully Funded Harvard Global Health Institute Fellowship for Women in Global Health

Applications are now being accepted for the 2024/2025 Harvard Global Health Institute LEAD Fellowship Program.

This one-year fellowship is tailored to enhance leadership skills among individuals from low- and middle-income countries. Jointly administered by the Harvard Global Health Institute (HGHI) and the Department of Global Health and Population at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, the program aims to bolster the progression of women leaders in global health.

The 2024-2025 LEAD Fellowship program will encompass a 12-month virtual curriculum, supplemented by a 4-week, in-person experience in Spring 2025. Throughout the fellowship period, participants will partake in personalized leadership coaching, mentorship sessions, executive education courses, speaking engagements, leadership workshops, and networking opportunities.

Harvard LEAD Fellows have the freedom to design their own bespoke leadership development plans. They are connected with esteemed faculty and experienced mentors who provide tailored guidance aligned with the fellows’ individual interests and objectives. Additionally, LEAD fellows participate in customized leadership training sessions as a group and are presented with chances for public speaking, networking, and independent project work. Graduating fellows each year depart with an established network of peers and mentors from across Harvard University. The fellowship experience is specifically crafted to afford global health leaders time for introspection, connections, and exploration of new avenues.

We warmly invite applications from individuals across all continents, regions, academic disciplines, professional sectors, and gender identities. Prospective candidates may nominate themselves by submitting an application for the fellowship.

To qualify:

Applicants must be actively engaged in the field of global health on a full-time basis, boasting a minimum of 15 years of post-education professional experience. Furthermore, applicants must be eligible to obtain a J-1 visa for travel to the United States in April 2025, and they must commit to residing in Cambridge, MA for the duration of the four-week program. All application materials must be submitted by 5PM EST on Friday, March 15th, 2024.

Finally, fellows are required to be available and free from work commitments during their four-week, in-residence period in April 2024.
