Introduction to the Donghua University Scholarship
Applications are now open for the Donghua University Scholarship 2024. Donghua University is a public university located in Shanghai, China. Applications are open for the Donghua University Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS) 2024 and the Donghua University Shanghai Government Scholarship (SGS) 2024. Both scholarship programs offer master’s and Ph.D. degree programs, but the Shanghai government scholarship is also for bachelor’s degree programs.
The scholarship is open to all international students from all countries. The Chinese government has one of the largest scholarship pools. It has 54 bachelor’s and undergraduate degree programs, 59 master’s degree programs, as well as 30 Ph.D. or doctoral degree programs. It is affiliated with the Ministry of Education. Providing its students with a world-class education.
Types of the Donghua University Scholarship 2024
- Full Scholarship (Type A)
- Partial Scholarship (Type B)
Full Scholarship (Type A) by Shanghai Government
Expenses that will be covered by the SGS Scholarship 2024:
- A waiver of tuition fee
- Free on-campus dormitory accommodation
- Monthly stipend
- Bachelor’s programs: 2500
- Master’s programs: CNY 3000
- Doctoral programs: CNY3500
- Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Protection Scheme for International Students in China
Partial Scholarship (Type B) by SGS Scholarship 2024
- A waiver of tuition fee
- A waiver of medical insurance fee
Full Scholarship (Type B) by the Chinese Government
Expenses that will be covered by the CGS Scholarship 2024:
- A waiver of tuition fee
- A waiver of medical insurance fee
- A waiver of on-campus dorm fee
- Monthly stipend (RMB3,000/month for a master’s student, RMB3,500/month for a doctoral student).

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a non-Chinese citizen.
- Be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs.
- Be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master’s programs.
- Be a high school graduate at least 16 years old and under the age of 25 when applying for bachelor’s programs
- Be excellent in academic and extracurricular performance and yet not be rewarded with any other scholarships offered by the government, institutes, or organizations in China.
