Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the 2025 BIT International Student Undergraduate Program, applicants must:

  • Be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid foreign passport and in good health.
  • Be between 18 and 25 years of age. Applicants under 18 must provide a guardian certificate from a resident in Beijing.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Satisfy the language requirements:
    • For programs taught in Chinese: HSK Level 5 (minimum score of 180).
    • For programs taught in English: IELTS ≥ 6.0 or TOEFL ≥ 85 (or equivalent proof of English proficiency).
  • Comply with the regulations outlined by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China (JW〔2020〕No. 12).
  • Demonstrate strong academic performance and leadership potential.

Selection Criteria

Applications are reviewed based on the following:

  • Academic performance as shown in high school transcripts
  • Language proficiency and communication skills
  • Personal statement and study plan
  • Interview performance and results of the academic proficiency test (conducted online)
