About the AstraZeneca Young Health Program Impact Fellowship

The AstraZeneca Young Health Program (YHP) Impact Fellowship is dedicated to supporting young leaders who advocate for health equity within their communities. This fellowship offers comprehensive support, including funding, global networking opportunities, and professional training. Selected Fellows will receive a fully funded One Young World Scholarship to attend the 2025 One Young World Summit in Munich, Germany. Additionally, Fellows will be eligible for a $10,000 grant to implement a health-related project through their registered non-profit organization. Those chosen as Lead2030 Challenge winners may receive an even larger grant of $50,000 to scale their impact.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Age Requirement: Between 18 – 30 years old.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Nationality: Open to applicants from all countries.
- Summit Participation: Must be available to attend the One Young World Summit in Munich, Germany, from November 2-7, 2025.
- Ambassadorship: Willingness to share insights, foster partnerships, and represent AstraZeneca’s health equity and YHP initiatives.
- Internet Access: Must have access to a computer or phone for live online sessions (AstraZeneca will not provide devices or internet access).
- Organizational Leadership: Must be a founder or leader of a registered non-profit organization that meets the following criteria:
- Operational for at least three years.
- For the $10,000 grant: Reported annual income between $10,000 – $1,000,000.
- For the $50,000 grant: Reported annual income between $100,000 – $2,000,000.
- Funding-ready and able to provide official documentation in English for verification.
- Works with underserved communities to promote health equity.
Project Proposal Requirements
Applicants must propose a 6-12 month project that:
- Focuses on NCD prevention among young people.
- Advocates for policy changes to improve health outcomes.
- Targets key health risk factors, including:
- Tobacco use
- Physical inactivity
- Harmful alcohol use
- Unhealthy diets
- Air pollution
- Is led primarily by young people and benefits marginalized or vulnerable youth.
- Demonstrates measurable impact with clear outcomes.
- Begins after October 2025 and concludes by December 2026.
Documents Required
Applicants must provide the following documents:
- Proof of non-profit organization registration (minimum three years of operation).
- Financial documents verifying annual income.
- Detailed project proposal for a 6-12 month initiative.
- Official documentation verifying funding eligibility (in English).
