About the Queen Mary Sanctuary Scholarship
Are you an asylum seeker or hold temporary immigration status in the UK and dream of earning a university degree? Queen Mary University of London is offering a life-changing opportunity through its Sanctuary Scholarship 2025/26, designed to support students who are unable to access traditional student funding due to their immigration status.
This fully funded undergraduate scholarship not only covers the full cost of tuition but also includes generous maintenance grants to help with living expenses throughout your studies. If you’re passionate about pursuing higher education despite facing immigration challenges, this could be your chance.
The Queen Mary Sanctuary Scholarship aims to eliminate financial and legal barriers that prevent talented asylum seekers from accessing higher education. For the 2025/26 academic year, the university will offer this scholarship to two eligible undergraduate students who have either:
- Temporary immigration status granted due to an asylum claim (outside standard immigration rules), or

The scholarship is applicable to degree programs offered in the Faculty of Science & Engineering and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
