The University of Malta has announced the opening of the application portal for fully funded scholarships for international students. Interested candidates are invited to apply for the University of Malta Scholarships 2024/25 for Masters, and PhD Degree programs. Students from outside the European Union/EEA can apply. Professional doctorates and MBA-type programs are not eligible. The University of Malta (L-Università ta’ Malta), also known as UM, is the only public university in Malta.

About the University of Malta Scholarships 2024/25
Only applicants who have been accepted unconditionally to read for a Master’s by research or a Ph.D. on a full-time and part-time basis are eligible to apply. This means that you need to get an admission offer first, and then you can apply for the scholarships at Malta University.
Scholarship Coverage
Deserving students who successfully complete the admission process and who may not have the means to cover the full tuition fee will be considered for the Full or Partial scholarship.
- Tuition Fee Waivers: 40 to 100 percent
A total of 100 scholarships will be awarded split over two schemes:
- Ph.D. and Masters Programmes (mainly by research)
- Masters Programmes (mainly taught)
Up to 50 scholarships for those who are accepted to read for a Ph.D. or Masters (mainly by research). Up to 50 scholarships for those to pursue Master’s Degree programs that are mainly taught.

The last date to apply for the University of Malta Scholarships 2024 is 31st October 2023. The University of Malta fully funded scholarships have three deadlines:

You need to secure admission at the University of Malta and then you can apply for the scholarships.
