- Be domiciled in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, or South Africa
- Be classed as an overseas fee-paying student
- Have received and accepted an offer to begin an undergraduate degree at the University of Birmingham starting in September 2025
- Have chosen the University of Birmingham as their firm choice on UCAS
- Be able to demonstrate academic excellence and meet all academic requirements of their chosen course
- Be registered with an approved local representative of the university in their home country
- Be able to cover additional living expenses, accommodation, visa fees, and other costs not covered by the scholarship
Selection Criteria
Scholarship decisions are based on academic merit, including the applicant’s academic performance and potential.
In cases where two candidates have identical grades, a short interview may be conducted to determine the final recipient.
