Applications for the University of Adelaide Global Academic Excellence Scholarship 2024 is now open. The University of Adelaide 2024 Global Academic Excellence 50% Scholarships (International) are a highly competitive award aimed at recognizing outstanding academic achievement among international students enrolling in undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs.
Recipients of this scholarship will benefit from a 50% reduction in international tuition fees when they begin their studies at the University of Adelaide in 2024.
Eligibility for this scholarship is based on academic merit, with consideration given to the applicant’s performance in their previous academic qualifications, which serve as the basis for admission.

Eligibility Criteria
This scholarship is available to:
- International students starting in 2024 to pursue coursework awards at the University of Adelaide;
- Undergraduate and graduate applicants for direct entry award programs, including those who must complete a Pre-Enrollment English Program (PEP) before starting their degree program;
- Candidates with the required minimum score
- Available to individuals who have completed their most recent education in Australia as well as citizens of Vietnam, Taiwan, Colombia, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh who are enrolling as international students; available for research in any field with a few exceptions.
- Applicants will be eligible to be considered for a 50% scholarship if they have demonstrated they have achieved the minimum score outlined as follows:
- Those seeking admission to an undergraduate (UG) program who have at least a 99.9 ATAR (or a similar score).
- Applicants seeking admission to undergraduate or graduate programs must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 6.9 on a 7.0 scale, or a score that is comparable.
- Applicants seeking admission to an undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) level award program must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 6.8 on a 7.0 scale for coursework completed at the University of Adelaide, or a comparable score for coursework completed at an Australian university.
- A committee responsible for awarding scholarships will then evaluate applicants to determine which ones are qualified for the award.
Selection Criteria/Application Process
- The University of Adelaide’s award program determines a candidate’s eligibility for the scholarship through a selection process at the time of application.
- Academic merit and a selection process are the foundations for this scholarship.
- The achievement in the qualification that serves as the foundation for university admission determines the academic merit.
- To be eligible for consideration for the scholarship (unconditional), one must fulfill all requirements, including the academic component of admission to the University of Adelaide and all other requirements.
- If an applicant for the coursework program submits their application before the deadline, the Scholarship Selection Committee will review it and award scholarships to those who demonstrate the minimum merit required. Keep in mind that the application deadline is April 30th, 2024.
