The first interview will test to be taken online and the second interview will be oral, not test this time, the second interview will be virtual.

Second programme is the IPI internship in editorial position

Editors are needed at the IPI for a full time position paid internship. The internship is intended to last for the period of six months. Successful interns will be working with the IPI publication team to deliver a great work supporting senior staff while learning. Internship is remote for interns who are a distance away and interns who have access can be visiting the IPI office in New Work.

The internship is for the IPI publication team to be assisted for the period of six months by the interns. The interns will assist to produce books, papers, journals brief, and other IPI materials, disseminating the IPI books and any other editorial works of the IPI

While working at the editorial department of the IPI at the organization headquarters in the New York, United State of America, the interns will be learning and gaining experience in editing, writing, proofreading, and the rest. The interns will also have the opportunity to acquire experience in research as interns will be researching on peace, security, women development, sustainable development, etc.

Interns’ mode of work will remote for the period of the six months of internship. Applicant from any country may be selected to participate in the internship however; the successful applicants must be ready at all time in the IPI work hours which is between 8am and 5pm EST.

Interns’ task

Successful applicants will be taking the following task for the Organization:

Editing

Formatting of books

Sporting and effecting corrections

Researching

Formatting citations,

Fact-checking

Proofreading publications and anything related to this

Conduct photo research for publications

Assist to disseminate already completed publications on available location mostly on social media

Manage and record book purchases and subscriptions to journals, magazines, and newspapers

Conduct other publications related at organization

Eligibility for the IPI internship

Applicant must have good standing ability to edit books, journals, newsletters, etc.

Must be the type that pays attention to details

Have a very good command of English language, mastered English language rules; punctuation, nouns, proverb, verb etc.

Have a good writing ability, with very good verbal communication ability

Have a bachelors degree particularly in international affairs’, English and literature, diplomacy and in any other related field

Have knowledge of Chicago style desirable

Have experience in copyediting, proofreading, or working as a writing tutor preferred

Be familiar with or interest in multilateral institutions a plus

Successful applicant will move to the second stage which is the interview stage. Interview will be virtual and successful applicants who passed the first interview will be required to undertake the second interview
