Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements to qualify for the Imfundo Trust Scholarship:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be in matric or have already completed matric
- Plan to study full-time in a supported field in 2026
- Be entering the first or second year of undergraduate study (postgraduate only for Climate Studies)
- Achieve a minimum average of 70% in the mid-year Grade 12 exams
- At least 70% in Mathematics
- At least 70% in English First Additional Language or 60% in English Home Language
- Preference is given to students from rural or township backgrounds
Selection Criteria
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. Final decisions are made by the Board of Trustees, considering academic results, interview performance, and financial need.
Note: The scholarship amount may be adjusted or withdrawn if the candidate receives additional financial aid.
