Applications for the NLNG post-primary scholarships are open. The Management of Nigeria LNG Limited is pleased to extend an invitation to all interested and high-performing basic five and six pupils across Nigeria to apply for the 2024-2025 NLNG Scholarship Award. This prestigious scholarship was established in 1998 as part of Nigeria LNG Limited’s Corporate Social Responsibility to Nigerian citizens, with the aim of enhancing human capacity development in the country.
The Nigeria LNG Scholarship Award Scheme is a highly esteemed program that promotes academic excellence amongst students in institutions located in Rivers State and all other states across Nigeria. This program is designed to support the education of bright and talented students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance and who have the potential to become future leaders.
The post-primary scholarship scheme was initiated in 2012 and has since been providing students with the opportunity to pursue their dreams and achieve their full potential. The NLNG scholarship award scheme is a testament to the company’s commitment to promoting education and human capacity development in Nigeria, which will ultimately contribute to the growth and development of the nation.
Eligibility Criteria
The post-primary education program requires that applicants be excellent, high-performing fifth- and sixth-grade students who reside in the company’s host communities and oil-producing states. The program is designed to provide access to quality education for students who have shown exceptional academic abilities and potential. Selection Criteria for the NLNG Post-Primary Scholarships 2024-2025
At the post-primary level, admission to the scheme is granted to prospective pupils based on their outstanding performance at the annual National Examinations Council’s (NECO) Common Entrance Examinations. This rigorous exam provides a comprehensive evaluation of each student’s knowledge and skills in various subjects, including mathematics, English language, and general knowledge, among others. Only those who demonstrate exceptional aptitude and potential are selected to participate in the scheme, which offers a stimulating and challenging learning environment designed to foster academic excellence and personal growth.
Benefits of the NLNG Post-Primary Scholarships 2024-2025
The scholarship recipient, upon being accepted into an institution in Nigeria, will be eligible to receive a yearly scholarship allowance as a beneficiary. This award has undergone several value reviews since its inception. Initially, the scholarship was worth N30,000.00, then increased to N50,000.00, and now stands at a value of N100,000.00. This scholarship is designed to support and encourage students to pursue higher education and achieve their academic goals. The beneficiaries will be selected based on their academic performance and financial needs and will be assessed on an ongoing basis to ensure they continue to meet the criteria for the scholarship.
