About The Company
Africa has the highest youth population in the world, with 70% of sub-Saharan Africa below the age of 30. This significant proportion of young people presents a promising prospect for growth in the continent. However, this potential can only be fully realized if the upcoming generation is empowered with the holistic skills and knowledge required to reshape the African narrative. Equipping young people with relevant leadership skills is not merely a question of inclusion, but one that is vital for economic growth, innovation, peace, and security. It is the key to safeguarding our collective future and the pathway to realizing the Africa of our dreams.
At Leaders of Leaders (LoL Africa), we offer a coveted opportunity to be among the select group of 20 young African leaders to be chosen this year across Africa. Our program stands out by providing comprehensive leadership training and support, coupled with a unique platform to connect with global changemakers for mentorship and guidance. This is a for youth, by-youth/young-at-heart program targeted at aspiring leaders, activists, and impact entrepreneurs across Africa.
How It Works
LoL Africa is a virtual leadership accelerator boot camp designed to equip young aspiring leaders, activists, and impact entrepreneurs across Africa to lead and effect change in their communities.
The fellowship consists of the following:
- A virtual training session, and a fieldwork community-based project carried out by fellows.
- Fellows will be trained by renowned experts on various leadership frameworks, sustainable development, strategies for leading change, and leading movements in the African context, and becoming an impact-driven entrepreneur.
- Fellows are expected to conduct community-based projects focused on equipping other young people with practical leadership skills and frameworks using the Bluvard Leadership course on SkillEd.
Eligibilty Criteria
The program is open to young African leaders who are:
- Between the ages of 18 and 27 by the time of the application
- Available to attend the virtual training and carry out the follow-up community project
- Committed to leading change in your community
- Proficient in speaking, reading and writing in English
- Will be available to attend the virtual training and carry out the follow-up community.
Note that this is a virtual fellowship, and we advise young people to have internet access to complete the fellowship.
