IMF Economist Program – Eligibility Requirements
To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Educational Qualification
- Hold or be about to complete a PhD in economics or related fields such as macroeconomics, finance, public finance, monetary economics, trade, political economy, econometrics, macro-climate economics, or poverty-related research.
Core Competencies
- Strong understanding of macroeconomics and ability to connect complex economic concepts with real-world applications.
- Excellent academic record with proven analytical, quantitative, and IT skills.
Nationality
- Must be a national of an IMF member country.
Age Requirement
