The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program is a global initiative that provides access to quality education for young people who are academically gifted but financially disadvantaged. Eligibility Criteria

Only Nigerian citizens are eligible for this edition of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at PAU. However, applicants must reside within Nigeria at the time of applying and show proof of commitment to remain engaged with their community.

The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program is specifically for Nigerian students who meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated Academic Excellence: You must have a strong academic record and a passion for learning.
  • Financial Need: This scholarship is for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • UTME Performance: A minimum score of 220 in the JAMB UTME is required.
  • O’Level Qualifications: You must have passed WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB with a minimum of 5 credits, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three other subjects relevant to your field, in no more than two sittings.
  • Leadership Potential: The program is looking for young people who exhibit strong leadership potential and a commitment to social change.

How to Apply

Follow these steps to apply for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Pan-Atlantic University:

Step 1: Confirm Academic Eligibility

Ensure you meet the academic requirements:

  • A minimum of five relevant O’Level credits (including English and Mathematics) in no more than two sittings.
  • A UTME score of at least 220 in relevant subjects.

Step 2: If You Don’t Have UTME Results Yet

Fill out the Interest Form to begin the screening process. This allows early access to updates and consideration once your UTME results are available.

Step 3: Complete UTME

Register and sit for JAMB UTME, and ensure you meet or exceed the score threshold of 220.

Step 4: Fill Out the Online Application Form

Once you have your UTME results, proceed to the official online application portal and submit your complete application.

Step 5: Interview Stage

If shortlisted, you’ll be contacted for an interview (virtual or in-person), where you’ll be evaluated on your leadership, academic aspirations, and community engagement.

Step 6: Admission & Scholarship Offer

Successful candidates will receive a formal admission offer into Pan-Atlantic University and a full scholarship through the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program.
