Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the 2025/2026 French Embassy Master’s Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a Ugandan citizen
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in one of the eligible fields
- Demonstrate interest or experience in studying the French language
- Have applied to, or received an offer from, a recognized French public university
Applicants should initiate the university application process independently, as proof of admission or application is mandatory for the scholarship.
Selection Criteria
The selection will be carried out in two main phases:
- June 15–30, 2025: Applications will be reviewed by the Embassy. Preselected candidates will be contacted for interviews.
- July 15, 2025: Final results will be announced. All applicants—whether successful or not—will receive a notification by email.
Selection is based on:
- Academic performance
- Relevance of chosen study field
- Motivation and clarity of cover letter
- Quality and completeness of application
- Admission/application to a French institution

How to Apply

- Copy of National ID or Passport
- Copy of Bachelor’s Degree Certificate
- Proof of Application to or Admission from a French Public University – This could be an official admission letter or confirmation of application submission.
Important:
- You must apply to a French university before applying for the scholarship.
- Applications without university admission or application proof will not be considered.
Note: The deadline for the application of this scholarship is 30th June 2025 (Midnight East Africa Time)
Early application is highly encouraged. Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.
