About the Amba Dalmia Scholarship in France 2024

Applications are now open for the Amba Dalmia Scholarship 2024. The Amba Dalmia Scholarship, established in 2018 by Dr. Gun Nidhi Dalmia, is a prestigious initiative that aims to provide financial support to young and talented women from India who aspire to pursue higher education in France. 

This program is a wonderful opportunity for female students passionate about music, theatre, sports, arts, sculpture, cinema, ballet, opera, painting, photography, enology, or culinary studies. The scholarship covers a wide range of fields and expenses related to the chosen course of study. 

It is a fitting tribute to the memory of Amba Dalmia, the daughter of the founder, and provides a platform for deserving candidates to achieve their academic goals. The scholarship is not renewable and has a one-year maximum duration or the duration of the project/study program in France.

Eligibility Criteria

Interested applicants must fulfill the following eligibility requirements in order to be considered for the Amba Dalmia program in France in 2024: 

  • Be female students or professionals aged 18 or above.
  • Have completed their high school or graduated from a recognised institution with a remarkable academic record.
  • Have applied to or secured admission to a higher education institution in France.
  • Candidates who have received the French Government or Erasmus Mundus scholarships are not eligible.
  • While knowledge of French is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement.

Interested applicants should prepare a comprehensive application, including:

  • A detailed Curriculum Vitae.
  • A motivation letter expressing the candidate’s aspirations and how the scholarship will benefit her educational journey.
  • Copies of the passport, passport photograph, and educational qualifications (high school and university transcripts and degrees).
  • Also, proof of unconditional acceptance into a French educational program, or evidence of progress towards acceptance.
  • A No Objection Certificate from the current Indian institution, if applicable.
  • Also, additional documents, such as internship papers or a portfolio in CD/DVD or hard copy format, are relevant.
