About USask Entrance Scholarships
The University of Saskatchewan (USask) recognizes 600 high-achieving entering students each year with USask Entrance Scholarships valued at $5,000.
Students entering direct-entry degree programs will be considered automatically for these awards—distributed between the Colleges of Agriculture and Bioresources, Arts and Science, Dentistry, Education, Engineering, Kinesiology and Edwards School of Business—based on admission average.
Deadline
To be considered, submit the online application for admission, including the application fee, by February 15, and ensure your transcript and other admission documents have been submitted to the Admissions Office by March 1.
USask Entrance Scholarships Eligibility
After you apply for admission and submit your transcript and other admission documents, you will be considered automatically for a USask Entrance Scholarships if you are:
- a current high school (secondary) student who plans to come to USask after you graduate,or
- a student who has already graduated from high school (secondary) but has little or no previous post-secondary education (less than 18 transferable credit units).
Offer notification
Scholarship offers will be sent by email to both the personal and USask email address on file starting in early April. Successful candidates will have until the deadline listed in the email to accept their offer.
USask Entrance Scholarships Benefits
After accepting a scholarship offer, your USask Entrance Scholarship will be applied directly to your account for payment of tuition and fees by mid-September, provided:
- you are enrolled in a minimum of 18 credit units in the Fall and Winter Terms (September to April), and
- you arranged for your final, official high school transcript to be sent directly to USask.
- Value: $30,000 ($7,500/year over four years)
Two USask Entrance Scholarships are Circle of Honour awards, which are preferentially awarded to Indigenous students.

Value: $24,000 ($6,000/year over four years)
