The Global Fellowships Scheme aims to:

Expected Responsibilities

Global Fellows will:

• Engage with the University’s academic community, including staff and students.
• Participate in activities such as research seminars, postgraduate lectures, and undergraduate training sessions.
• Have the option to apply for a virtual fellowship if personal commitments (e.g., caregiving) prevent travel.

Eligibility Criteria

The fellowship is open to scholars who meet the following criteria:

• Academic Qualification: Hold a PhD or equivalent at the time of application.
• Location: Based outside the United Kingdom.
• Employment: Affiliated with a university, research institute, or similar organization.
• Reputation: Recognized as a significant contributor or emerging leader in their field of study.

Selection Criteria

Applications will undergo a rigorous review process:

1. Initial Evaluation: Applications are reviewed by the relevant Academic Schools at St Andrews.
2. Final Selection: A multi-disciplinary committee assesses applications and makes the final decision.
3. Notification: Successful applicants will be notified by 30 May 2025.
