About the Gates Scholarship Program 2025 

Applications are currently being accepted for the prestigious Gates Scholarship Program 2025. Eligibility Criteria

  • Students who come from low-income backgrounds.
  • A high school senior.
  • A student must plan to enrol full-time in a four-year undergraduate degree program.
  • From at least one of the following ethnicities: African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian & Pacific Islander American, and/or Hispanic American.
  • A US citizen, national, or permanent resident.
  • Good academic grades. A GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) is required.

Note: The Gates Scholarship requires proof of tribal enrollment for American Indians and Alaska Natives.

Selection Criteria

Candidates will be selected based on:

  • outstanding academic record.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability through extracurricular or other activities.
  • Exceptional personal success skills such as motivation and emotional storytelling.

Required Documents

  • A copy of most recent transcripts.
  • Student Aid Report (SAR), once the FAFSA has been completed
  • CSS Profile
  • Headshot photo
  • Resume
  • Financial Aid Award Letter
  • Letter of admission to a four-year bachelor’s degree program at a not-for-profit, private, or public university.
