About the British Academy Innovation Fellowships 2024/25
The British Academy Innovation Fellowships are designed to foster collaborations between researchers and UK-based organizations to tackle pressing societal and policy issues. This prestigious scheme, funded by the UK Government’s Department for Science, Innovation, and Technology (DSIT), aims to bridge the gap between academia and real-world challenges.
These fellowships are specifically targeted at researchers in the humanities and social sciences, encouraging them to work alongside businesses and organizations in the creative, cultural, public, private, or policy sectors. By partnering with a UK-based organization, researchers will have the opportunity to address key challenges requiring innovative and practical solutions that benefit the UK.
The scheme operates through two distinct routes. Regardless of the chosen route, each fellowship involves collaboration between the researcher and a partner organization, focusing on a specific policy or societal challenge. Fellowships can last for up to one year.
