The Spanish Government has announced the MAEC-AECID Scholarship Programs for the 2025/2026 academic year, providing funding opportunities for citizens from Latin America, Africa, and Asia to pursue a Master’s degree in Spain.
About the MAEC-AECID Scholarship
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union, and Cooperation (MAEC), through the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), offers scholarships to support postgraduate education for students from eligible countries.
This scholarship is part of Spain’s Africa-MED and Latin America cooperation strategy, which aims to promote sustainable development, capacity building, and knowledge exchange.
Eligibility Criteria
Citizens of Latin American, African, and Asian countries
Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in Spanish
Meet the specific eligibility criteria outlined in Annex III of the scholarship guidelines
Provide all required documentation as stated in Annexure 3.4

Documents Required
Applicants must submit required documents as outlined in the scholarship guidelines, including:
Annex VI: Responsible declaration (to be completed by all applicants)
Annex VII: Spanish Cooperation goals and action lines (for university master’s applicants)
Annex VIII: Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) alignment
Annex IX: Scholarship acceptance form (for selected applicants only)
Annex X: Research, internship, or training plan (for ÁFRICA-MED and ASALE applicants)
Annex XI: Justifying technical report (to be completed at the end of the scholarship)
Annex XII: Responsible declaration (for ASALE beneficiaries)
Applicants are advised to thoroughly review all requirements before submitting their application.

Note that the application opening and closing date is 1st February 2025 to 19th March 2025
