About the J-Pal Africa Internship Program

Eligibility Criteria for Applicants

To be eligible for the J-PAL Africa Internship Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Academic Background: Applicants should be pursuing or have completed a degree in Economics, Statistics, Development, or a related field. Final-year students are also encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who have completed MicroMasters courses in Data, Economics, and Policy Design, with competitive grades.

Passion for Social Change: A demonstrated interest in social policy and development research is crucial. Interns will be expected to contribute actively to projects that aim to influence policy and improve social outcomes.
Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills are necessary for success in this fast-paced, impactful environment.
