Introducing the IRENA NewGen RENEWABLE ENERGY Accelerator Program
Applications are now open for the NewGen Renewable Energy Accelerator (NewGen) Program.
For the second consecutive year, IRENA has launched the NewGen Renewable Energy Accelerator Program to empower young people to actively engage in the energy transition.
NewGen supports the development and implementation of solutions led by youth in the climate and sustainable energy sectors, serving as a global platform for showcasing youth-driven innovation.
The program aims to equip young participants with the necessary tools, knowledge, and support to develop and execute their ideas. Youth-led startups, scale-ups, and growing businesses can now receive support from IRENA to nurture their development and accelerate their business growth.
IRENA will collaborate closely with its partners to provide successful applicants access to funding opportunities, business networks, and other resources to aid in bringing their ideas to fruition.
The program consists of a series of training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing activities, as well as connections to markets and investors, all designed to amplify business impact, enhance youth contributions to climate and sustainable energy efforts, and facilitate securing investments for implementing business plans and solutions.
