About the Huawei Seeds For The Future Program 2024
Seeds for the Future, Huawei’s renowned corporate social responsibility (CSR) flagship future program, has officially opened its 2024 applications in South Africa. This annual program offers exceptional students the opportunity to receive training, participate in a cross-cultural exchange, and undergo advanced training in cutting-edge technologies like 5G, cloud computing, AI, and IoT.
This year, 15 outstanding students from South Africa will be selected to participate in the programme, marking the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic that students will be welcomed back to China for this immersive experience. Students will also benefit from internships with leading Chinese companies, providing them with an opportunity to gain valuable experience and a competitive edge in the job market. The programme will also provide a platform for students to build meaningful relationships and network with peers from around the world.
Available Fields
- Students at top universities major in computer science, electronics, software, engineering, information technology, or other related fields.
- Interest in entrepreneurship, ICT, and cross-cultural interaction.
- An enthusiasm for modern technology and telecoms.
Eligibility Criteria
- South African citizen
- All university students with ICT-related majors (Computer Science, Electronic Science, Information Technology, Software, Engineering, etc.)
- Average of 70% academic marks
- Have a strong interest in telecommunications and technologies
- Team player and dedicated to training tasks (including but not limited to training tests and completing a high-quality essay)
- Interested in China and Chinese culture
- Gender balances

How to Apply
