About the Harvard Aspire Emerging Leaders Program 2025

The Harvard University Aspire Emerging Leaders Program 2025 is a transformative initiative aimed at empowering talented young individuals from Asia, the Middle East, and Africa who face social and financial challenges. This fully-funded program, organised by Aspire Institute, equips future leaders with the skills, knowledge, and networks needed to create lasting positive change in their communities.

The Aspire Institute is dedicated to transforming the lives of young adults from underserved backgrounds. The program offers a fully funded leadership development experience, guiding participants through a comprehensive, multidisciplinary curriculum designed by Harvard faculty.

Each cohort embarks on a three-module journey that blends self-paced learning, live seminars, case-study discussions, mentorship, and grant opportunities. Participants will interact with world-class faculty and a diverse group of aspiring leaders, gaining invaluable insights and global perspectives.

Eligibility Criteria

The program seeks individuals who come from backgrounds of social and financial adversity. To qualify, applicants must:

Be 18–26 years old.

Come from a low-income background.
Be first-generation university students (parents or primary caregivers did not complete a bachelor’s degree).
Be enrolled in an undergraduate program or have graduated within the past three years.

OR have had their education impacted by natural disasters or armed conflict (e.g., refugees or displaced persons).
