About the Fully Funded PhD Scholarships for International Students

The University of Copenhagen’s Department of Arts and Cultural Studies invites applications for three-year, fully funded PhD scholarships starting on September 1, 2025. These scholarships offer a unique opportunity for highly qualified students to undertake in-depth research in arts and cultural studies while receiving financial and academic support.

The scholarships are designed to support independent and innovative research projects, culminating in a publicly defended PhD thesis. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must:

  1. Hold a Master’s degree (120 ECTS) or an equivalent qualification by the application deadline.
  2. Demonstrate high proficiency in academic English, both written and spoken.
