About the Creativity Pioneers Fund
The Creativity Pioneers Fund offers an unrestricted grant of €5,000 to selected organizations, supporting general operational expenses and essential costs for successful program development. This micro-grant serves as a foundation for deeper collaboration, providing recipients with access to additional financial opportunities, in-kind support, mentorship, peer-to-peer learning, and networking opportunities.
Eligibility Criteria
The grant is open to legally registered, non-profit organizations that are actively operating, regardless of geographic location. Eligible organizations must:
- Show that they place creativity at the heart of their mission and use it as a tool for social transformation within their communities.
- Focus on marginalized and disadvantaged communities, with an emphasis on youth aged 16-27.
- Have an official organizational bank account (funds cannot be transferred to personal accounts due to regulatory requirements).
Selection Criteria
Priority will be given to organizations that:
- Challenge conventional norms and address significant social and environmental challenges.
- Operate with an intersectional approach, acknowledging the interconnectedness of social and environmental issues.
- Focus on long-term systemic change rather than just project outputs.
- Maintain a “glocal” perspective, being deeply rooted in local contexts while having global relevance.
- Foster critical thinking, lifelong learning, and transformative mindsets among young creative changemakers.
What We Do Not Fund
The Creativity Pioneers Fund does not support:
- Organizations focused purely on artistic expression or creative industries without a clear social impact component.
- NGOs with traditional, non-innovative approaches.
- Informal or sporadic initiatives that lack structured programming and sustainable impact strategies.
How to Apply for the Grant
The application process is designed to be inclusive and holistic. Instead of submitting a project proposal, applicants will present their organization’s mission and impact. Key aspects include:
- A Story-Driven Application: Go beyond grant writing—share what drives your organization, why you seek this opportunity, and what makes your work unique.
- Accessibility for Small and Grassroots Organizations: A strong track record or large organizational size is not required. Emerging organizations with compelling visions and community impact are encouraged to apply.
- Context Awareness: Applications will be evaluated in the context of local realities to ensure fairness.
- Clarity and Consistency: While language barriers are considered, applicants should clearly articulate their mission, programs, and impact.
By participating in the Creativity Pioneers Fund, organizations join a global community dedicated to leveraging creativity for positive social change.
