About the CMPA Equity Research Scholarship 2024
Applications are now open for the CMPA Equity Research Scholarship 2024 at the esteemed University of Toronto. The Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) is dedicated to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) within the medical field. The CMPA recognizes the existence of systemic barriers, inequalities, and financial obstacles that may be faced by underrepresented individuals participating in medical conferences. In response, the association is taking proactive measures to enhance the opportunities for individuals from equity-deserving groups to share their research and insights in the healthcare sector.
Furthermore, CMPA is offering a total of three (3) equity scholarships for attendance at the 2024 Family Medicine Forum (FMF) in Vancouver, BC, from November 6–9, 2024. The scholarship will include coverage of individual registration fees (any category) only. Please note that the scholarship does not cover additional expenses such as travel, accommodations, meals, incidentals, etc.
Benefits of the CMPA Equity Research Scholarship
CMPA is offering three (3) equity scholarships for individuals to attend the 2024 Family Medicine Forum (FMF) in Vancouver, BC from November 6-9, 2024. The scholarship includes coverage for individual registration fees across any category. However, it’s important to note that the scholarship does not cover additional costs such as travel, accommodations, meals, incidentals, etc.
How to Apply
Follow these steps to submit an application for the CMPA Equity Scholarship:
- Write a 400-word essay explaining why attending FMF 2024 is important to you and how it will help your future.
- Provide your most recent resume.
- Apply online at advocacy@cmpa.org by August 16, 2024, in either English or French. Notification of the selected candidates will be sent by August 30, 2024.
A panel of selectors will examine every application and grant a scholarship according to the quality of the application and the need assessment. Please do not hesitate to contact advocacy@cmpa.org with any further inquiries.
