Application conditions
The conditions are as follows:
– Completion of at least one photo-reportage (published or unpublished).
– Professional photojournalist status.
– Proficiency in spoken and written French and/or English.
Application Submission:
1. Signed application form.
2. Copy of the Applicant’s identity card or passport.
3. Affidavit confirming the candidate’s professional photojournalist status (attestation of honor from the photographer, agency, or newspaper).
4. Curriculum vitae.
5. Anonymous letter of support for the application, including a description of the photo-reportage project (maximum 1 typed page), ensuring no identification of the candidate.
6. Projected budget for the photo-reportage project to be funded by the Grant, with approval required for any additional partners by Canon and Images Evidence.
7. Photo-reportage submission consisting of 10 to 20 pictures in black and white or color. Specifications for image files:
– Format: .jpg
– Resolution: Low resolution
– Captions written in the File Info field
– No copyright mention in the IPTC files
– Only JPEG format accepted (no TIFF or PSD)
– Maximum image size: 3 MB
– Each picture file numbered sequentially (01, 02, 03, etc.) in the preferred order of presentation to the jury, without mentioning the photographer’s name.
