Value/Scholarship Award for the University of Waikato open Scholarship

Successful applicants to the University of Waikato, New Zealand are awarded Scholarship benefits of up to NZD$20,000 towards tuition fees coverages, costs of books and accommodation.

Any area of discipline is qualified for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses

Closing Date: Applications can be submitted at any time, Deadline to be made know when necessary

The University will not be offering the International Excellence Scholarship to students commencing their studies online.  This is with the exception of students who are enrolling at the University’s China Learning Centres (CLCs).

All new international students (excluding CLC students) who wish to commence their studies online will automatically be awarded a 20% discount on their tuition fees and will receive a travel grant once the borders have reopened and they can transfer to New Zealand for face-to-face studies.

The University welcomes applications for the University of Waikato International Excellence Scholarship from international students who are currently in New Zealand and are new to studying at Waikato, for face-to-face study.  For any queries, please contact gowaikato@waikato.ac.nz.

Eligibility for the University of Waikato open Scholarship

This Scholarship is intended to support talented international students who are enrolling for the first time into undergraduate or postgraduate programmes at the University of Waikato. The Scholarships have a value of up to NZD$20,000, and will be awarded to successful applicants who demonstrate excellent academic achievement.

Complete an Application to Enroll before you can have access to apply for Scholarships and Awards (This application is not a commitment to study here at the University of Waikato and can be withdrawn or updated at any time).

If you are a current student or already have a Waikato account you will be redirected to the MyWaikato screen:

Click on the ‘Scholarships’ tab and select the scholarship you wish to apply for from the list of scholarships at the bottom of the page.
