Eligible Fields

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the 2025 NLNG Post-Primary Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be pupils in Basic Six (Primary 6) in a public primary school in Rivers State.
- Be indigenes of an NLNG host community.
- Be between 10 and 12 years of age at the time of application.
- Not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship scheme.
- Not be related to any NLNG staff member.
Note: Proof of indigene status will be strictly verified.
Selection Criteria
Selection is based on academic merit and proper documentation. Applicants will undergo a paper-based screening test, which will be held at designated centers in Port Harcourt and Bonny. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted and provided with further information regarding the selection timeline.

Required Documents
Applicants are expected to upload clear, scanned PDF versions of the following documents:
- First, second, and third term results for Basic 4, 5, and 6.
- A valid birth certificate issued by the National Population Commission (NPC).
- A signed attestation letter from the headmaster/headmistress of the applicant’s current school.
- A letter confirming indigene status, signed by the Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman or Community Chief.
- A Local Government Area (LGA) identification letter.
- A recent passport photograph (taken within the last 3 months; no glasses allowed).
- Provisional admission into one of NLNG’s partner secondary schools (to be verified via newspapers or NLNG’s official social media handles).
Eligible Countries
This scholarship is exclusively for Nigerian pupils residing in Rivers State and who are indigenes of NLNG host communities.
