Introduction to WAAW Foundation’s 2023 Undergraduate Scholarship
WAAW Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship enables female college students in Africa to pursue their studies in a STEM-related course. With this scholarship, you are free to focus on achieving your academic goal and volunteer to give back to your community and promote the engagement of women in STEM through the STEM Outreach Chapter at their university.
The WAAW Foundation also offers mentorship and career support to help you maximize your potential and develop your professional skills. The scholarship also covers tuition, textbooks, and living expenses. Additionally, recipients of the scholarship are eligible for exclusive networking opportunities.
We are looking for scholars who show a need, and have the passion, and drive to make a difference in their community. Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for the undergraduate scholarship, you need to meet the following criteria:
- Applicants should be female students of African origin living and studying in Africa.
- Applicants should be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program.
- Applicants should be studying STEM-related courses at a University or college in Africa.
- Applicants must presently be a first or second-year student or a third-year student for a 5-year course at a University.
- Applicants must have the ability to demonstrate financial need
- Applicants must have an excellent Academic Record.
- Applicants must have proven leadership, volunteering, and community service
- Applicants must be under the age of 32.
Undergraduate Scholarship Benefits
The WAAW Foundation scholarship provides financial assistance to undergraduate students for the duration of their studies. This scholarship is a one-time award of $500, intended to alleviate the financial burden on students and support them in achieving their academic goals. It is available to African female students who are enrolled in a STEM field of study. The aim of the scholarship is to encourage and support the next generation of female leaders in STEM. Applications are accepted annually.
