About the University Of New Brunswick Scholarships 2024

Applications are now open for the University of New Brunswick scholarships for 2024. The University of New Brunswick Scholarship presents a unique chance for international students to pursue their graduate studies in Canada. The scholarship provides an in-depth look at the eligibility requirements and application process. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to conduct their studies in the prestigious Zimmer lab at the university.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for the scholarships, you need to:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Meet the entry and admission requirements of the university
  • Meet the English Language requirements of the University of New Brunswick
  • Zimmer Labs is looking for motivated students for MSc and PhD positions in multiple research areas with flexibility to fit the candidate’s interests:
  • Ecophysiology of fishes inhabiting naturally acidic lakes
    • Genetic basis of salinity tolerance in estuarine fishes
    • Mechanisms of pollution adaptation in coastal and inland fishes
    • Developmental physiology of euryhaline fishes- Advertisement –
  • Prior experience working with fish or other aquatic organisms would be considered an asset but is not required. 

Benefits of the University Of New Brunswick Scholarship 2024

The University of New Brunswick Scholarship offers fully funded opportunities for students pursuing their MSc or PhD. The fully-funded stipend for MSc students begins at $23.5k CAD per year, while PhD students receive $25k CAD per year, before tuition and fees. Moreover, students have the flexibility to commence their studies in January, May, or September 2025.
