About the University of Trento Master’s Degree Scholarships
The University of Trento, one of Italy’s leading institutions for higher education and research, is offering fully funded scholarships for descendants of Trentino emigrants who wish to pursue undergraduate and master’s degree programs.
These scholarships are part of the “University in Color” project, an initiative launched in 2001 by the Autonomous Province of Trento in collaboration with the University of Trento. The program aims to strengthen cultural ties between Trentino and its diaspora by providing financial assistance to young students of Trentino heritage who live abroad. Since its inception, the initiative has awarded approximately 140 scholarships, enabling talented students to access world-class education in Italy without financial barriers.
The scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation, and healthcare registration costs, ensuring that recipients can focus entirely on their studies while experiencing life in Trento, a city known for its high-quality education, research excellence, and strong international networks.
This initiative not only provides financial support but also encourages students to reconnect with their cultural roots, fostering a deeper sense of belonging to the Trentino community.
