About the KPMG Sustainability Graduate Program 2024
Applications are currently open for the KPMG Sustainability Graduate Program 2024, tailored specifically for African graduates. The importance of sustainability has grown significantly across various industries, becoming integral to the success of businesses. KPMG’s dedicated sustainability team plays a crucial role in helping our clients drive the sustainability agenda. This includes focusing on areas such as sustainability assurance, impact reporting, and decarbonization, among others. Our multidisciplinary team leverages established methodologies to assess organisations’ societal interactions, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and risks, and utilizing this knowledge to maximize impact.
Furthermore, with the heightened awareness surrounding sustainability and its increasing relevance for all businesses, there has been a noticeable increase in the consideration and incorporation of sustainability elements in proposals and potential client engagements. In response to this, we are seeking dynamic and diverse graduates to join our Sustainability Services team and contribute to these impactful initiatives.
Eligible Fields for the KPMG Sustainability Graduate Program 2024
The following fields are eligible:
- Environmental Science/Management
- Chemical Engineering
- Social Science
- Climate Change/Climate
- Finance or similar
Eligibility Criteria
Also, the applicants are to ensure that they meet the following eligibility criteria:
- A strong interest in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and a comprehension of the sustainable development goals (SDGs) of the UN, the Global Reporting Initiative Standards, and other industry and technical advancements, assurances, and reporting frameworks would be beneficial.
- An exceptionally talented team player with the ability to work both independently and in a cohesive team setting
- Good analytical, methodical, and attention-to-detail skills
- Independent, well-groomed, competent, and self-assured
- Writing reports, having effective communication, and making presentations
- Results- and target-oriented, with a pressing need to finish tasks
- want to enhance the current situation. Persistent, persuasive, and tenacious
- Able to travel
Primary Function
If selected successfully, you will be expected to perform the following duties:
- Implementing programs, tests, and procedures for sustainability audit and assurance
- Provision of sustainability assurance and reporting services, including the creation of sufficient working papers to bolster the findings and recommendations of sustainability consulting
- Recognizing areas of weakness or issue and creating efficient plans for remediation
- Writing reports and producing high-quality results
- Communication and liaison with clients at different project stages
- visiting the locations as a team
- Excellent analytical technical skills, meticulous and highly detail-oriented
- Well-developed investigative, evaluative, and problem-solving ability
- The capacity to multitask
- The following are the fundamental duties involved in helping KPMG execute its ESG strategy: research and involvement in the creation of sustainability thought leadership, leading practice, and proposals.
