- The applicant must be between the ages of 18 and 28.
- Education: Preferably, matriculate (grades 12).
- Available to commit to a fixed-term 12-month contract: You must be willing and able to make this happen.
- Employment History: A person should not have worked for a single employer permanently for longer than a year.
- Studying Full-Time: Attending classes full-time from April 2024 to March 2025 is not permitted during the employment period.
- Prior Involvement: One should not have engaged in prior YES program activities or maintained a registration.

- Promotional Preference: In compliance with the Employment Equity Act, preference will be granted to applicants from specific groups.
