Taiwan International Graduate Program Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the Taiwan International Graduate Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of a country other than China, Taiwan, or Hong Kong
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree and, if applicable, a Master’s degree
- Demonstrate strong academic performance
- Show proficiency in English
- Meet the specific criteria of their chosen TIGP sub-program
Benefits of the TIGP Scholarship
- No registration or tuition fees
- NT$40,000 monthly stipend for the first year
- NT$34,000 (tax-free) + NT$6,000 (before tax)
- Equivalent to approximately US$1,250/month or US$15,000/year
- Stipend may be extended for an additional year based on academic performance
Taiwan International Graduate Program Required Documents
Applicants must prepare the following documents:
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree certificates (English version)
- Academic transcripts (English version)
- Passport
- Taiwan Alien Resident Certificate (ARC), if applicable
- English language proficiency certificate
- Three recommendation letters, including one from your academic advisor
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Statement of Purpose (SOP)
- Abstract of thesis, including the name and website of your thesis advisor
- Optional: GRE scores, publications, or other supporting documents
