About IAEA Marie Curie scholarship 2024
The IAEA Marie Curie scholarship 2024 Is a subsidiary of IAEA Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP) which aims to inspire and support young women pursuing careers in the nuclear field. This program provides scholarships for master’s degree students in nuclear-related subjects and offers internship opportunities facilitated by the IAEA.
Eligibility Criteria
The IAEA Marie Curie scholarship 2024 is open to female students from IAEA Member States who:
- Are accepted by or enrolled in an accredited university master’s program in a nuclear-related field.
- Preference is given to those that have above-average academic credentials (75% or above, or GPA > 3.0 out of 4.0)

The programme supports women in nuclear-related fields essential to the IAEA’s mission of promoting safe, secure, and peaceful uses of nuclear science and technology. These fields include, but are not limited to:
- Nuclear Engineering
- Nuclear Physics and Chemistry
- Nuclear Medicine
- Isotopic Techniques
- Radiation Biology
- Nuclear Safety
- Nuclear Security
- Non-proliferation

Application Process
Applicants for the IAEA Marie Curie scholarship 2024 must submit the following documents via the MSCFP online application form:
- Copy of Passport/National ID
- Official acceptance/admission letter from the university indicating the nuclear-related field of study and program duration
- Statement of tuition fees/confirmation of tuition costs
- Documents regarding other scholarships for the master’s program for which you are seeking MSCFP support, if applicable
- Completed reference templates sent directly to MSCFP by referees (download form here). One reference is mandatory, a second is preferred.
Note: All documents must be in English or accompanied by an official English translation. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Selection Process
Applications are evaluated by the IAEA MSCFP Technical Selection Committee based on:
- Applicant’s eligibility and educational background
- Prior achievements and motivation
- Impact of the fellowship on career goals and commitment to public service
- Geographic, field of study, and linguistic diversity
All applicants will be notified of the decision by email.
MSCFP Benefits
Selected students will receive up to €20,000 for tuition costs and up to €20,000 for living costs for the master’s programme.
Obligations
Selected applicants must confirm acceptance of the fellowship within one week of receiving the offer. The offer will include award details, payment modality, commitment expectations, and administrative requirements and arrangements.
