About Kings College Commonwealth Shared Scholarships 2026

The King’s College London Commonwealth Shared Scholarship is designed for students from eligible low- and middle-income Commonwealth countries who wish to pursue approved Master’s programmes at King’s College London (KCL).

This fully funded scholarship covers airfare, full tuition fees, a monthly stipend of £1,781, as well as study and clothing grants.

The 2026/27 Commonwealth Shared Scholarships Scheme (CSSS) at King’s College London supports students applying for the following campus-based, full-time Master’s programmes:

Kings College Commonwealth Shared Scholarships 2026 Eligibility Requirements

To apply for the Kings College Commonwealth Shared Scholarships 2026 candidates must:

  • Be a citizen or have refugee status from an eligible Commonwealth country.
  • Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country.
  • Be available to begin studies in the UK by September 2026.
  • Hold a first degree of at least upper second-class (2:1) honours or a lower second-class degree with a relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • Not have studied or worked in a high-income country for more than one academic year.
  • Be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship.
  • Submit all supporting documentation in the required format by the specified deadlines.

Additional requirements include:

  • Meeting the entry requirements of the chosen degree programme.
  • Demonstrating sufficient English proficiency to pursue the course.
  • Committing to return to the home country upon completion of the programme.

Kings College Commonwealth Shared Scholarships 2026 Benefits

How to Apply for the Kings College Commonwealth Shared Scholarships 2026

Interested and qualified candidates should follow these steps:

  • Apply to the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) via the online application system by 16:00 (UK Time) on December 9, 2025.
  • Submit a complete King’s College London online admissions application for one of the approved Master’s programmes by January 12, 2026.
  • Eligible applications will be reviewed by King’s College London, which will nominate selected candidates to the CSC by March 10, 2026.
  • The CSC will confirm whether candidates meet the eligibility criteria. Decisions are expected by July 2026.

Important Note: Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit both applications as early as possible. Missing deadlines will result in ineligibility for the scholarship.
