
About Judicial Fellowship Program 2025
The Judicial Fellowship Program, presented in partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, is a professional exchange and residential learning experience for international judges and magistrates who are passionate about strengthening legal systems in their countries.
The Judicial Fellowship Program is designed to strengthen the legal systems in foreign countries by building a network of judicial leaders from around the world.
Working with the National Center for State Courts and our academic partners at the University of Virginia, we present a comprehensive and immersive program that combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills to foster critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and a deep understanding of the rule of law.
Teaching methods emphasize interactive exercises, case studies, simulations, and experiential learning
The Objective of the Fellowship is to give knowledge with practical skills to advance critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and a deep understanding of the rule of law.
The Program Starts: Washington, DC – Explores US courts, meets legal experts (e.g., U.S. Chamber of Commerce).
The Program Ends: Charlottesville, VA – Experience local culture and historic sites.

Eligibility Requirements for the Judicial Fellowship Program 2025
- Nationality: The Fellowship is open to all Nationals.
- Designed for: Early- or mid-career judges and magistrates.
- From: Countries in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas.
- Experience: Requires 5 to 7 years presiding over civil or criminal cases.
- Leadership: Need a proven record of leadership.
- Application: Should be willing to share and apply gained knowledge to advance the rule of law.
