About the Hokkaido University MEXT Scholarship

The Hokkaido University MEXT Scholarship offers a prestigious opportunity for international students to pursue their Master’s or Doctoral degrees in Japan. Funded by the Japanese Government (MEXT), this scholarship targets those enrolling in the Graduate Program for Environmental Conservation Leadership for Post-SDGs at Hokkaido University, beginning in October 2025.

Benefits of the Program

Monthly Stipend:
- ¥144,000 for Master’s students
- ¥145,000 for Doctoral students

Eligible Fields of Study

Eligibility Criteria

Be applying for a Master’s or Doctoral degree at the Graduate School of Environmental Science at Hokkaido University.
Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.30/3.00 in their most recent academic qualifications.

Selection Criteria
